Indigo Caravan is the Bay Area husband-and-wife, multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter duo Nathan Craver and Yosifah Rose Craver.
Take an exotic, magical musical journey that blurs time and place!
Indigo Caravan weaves a unique, rich musical tapestry of eclectic genres including heartfelt singer/songwriter acoustic folk/rock, world music, blues, country, old-time standards, and more!
Indigo Caravan has a beautiful, unique, genre-defying sound.
A cornucopia of stringed instruments, including six-stringed guitars (acoustic, classical, and archtop electric), mandolin, electric bass, and yes, even Arabic qanun (84 string Arabic harp/zither, sometimes transliterated "kanun") create a beautiful sonic canvas upon which Yosifah Rose's warm, soul-stirring, crystal clear voice and Nathan's heartfelt harmonies paint lush stories of love, loss, and sojourns of every kind.
Yosifah Rose and Nathan's intuitive musical and lyrical collaborations mirror the harmony of their 27-year love/partnership bond. The depth of the bond results in pure musical magic that delights audiences of all ages.
In October 2014 Indigo Caravan released their new album 'Vapor Trails' which is available at shows, by mail and on Amazon!
The Cravers also perform regularly throughout the SF Bay Area with their Classical Arabic band, Al 'Azifoon, with Nathan on oud and Yosifah Rose on qanun and Arabic vocals.
The Cravers are also members of the highly respected San Francisco Bay Area Arabic orchestra, Aswat.
